How can I modify the location of Google searches?
Your own search engine can be configured to prioritize search results from a specific country or region. Other countries’ or regions’ results may still display a lower rating. You can also configure your search engine to just return results from the specified country or region, excluding all other results.
- Personalize by country or region
- Click the desired search engine on the Custom Search home page.
- The setup is followed by the Basics tab.
- Select your selected country or region from the list in the Region section.
- (Optional) Switch the restrict button to ON to limit search results to the selected region only.
First, we will discuss how to change this on Android.
- To begin, go to the Google home page and scroll down to the bottom to find the “settings” option.
- Then press the button.
- Then select “search settings” from the drop-down menu.
- Change the “current region” to whatever you wish under “region for search results.”
- For example, suppose you choose Canada and then clicked the “save” button to save your changes.
- Following that, you will be prompted to confirm that your settings have been stored.
- Select the “OK” option.
- From now on, you will only see Canadian Google search results.
Now we will discuss how to change this on the desktop
